DOD announced the deaths of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died February 8, 2008 in Taji, Iraq, of wounds suffered when their vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. Killed were; Sergeant Timothy P. Martin, 27, of Pixley, California. Martin was assigned to the 2/14th Cav. Specialist Michale T. Manibog, 31, of Alameda, California. Staff Sergeant Jerald A. Whisenhut, 32, of Orrick, Missouri. and. Sergeant Gary D.
